在分析SAT写作文本的时候同学们经常会遇到一些事例，它既不能归类为Fact事实，也不能归类为Anecdote轶事，似乎是存在于两个类别之间的中间概念。对于这样的概念我们把它归类为Example例子。
例子的作用通常在于解释说明（Exemplification），为作者的观点提供事实支撑(supportive)，使之更加具体（specific）。
